The 45-year-old College Heights Secondary School teacher who was charged with sexual offences involving a minor is facing five additional charges, as result of an ongoing investigation by the Guelph Police Service.
He faces two additional charges of sexual assault, two charges of obtaining sexual services for consideration and one charge of procuring.
Police say the investigation revealed other victims, all under the age of 18. In order to protect their identities, police will not say if they were students at College Heights.
The Upper Grand District School Board said in a statement the accused has been a teacher at College Heights since 2003 and is not currently teaching.
"We can confirm that the teacher is not at school during this ongoing investigation and the board has reported this situation to the Ontario College of Teachers," the board said.
The teacher was in bail court on Sept. 13. Police say he has been released on strict conditions.
His next court date is on Oct. 10.
