Armed police on scene in Winnipeg's Burrows neighbourhood

Police say it is part of an ongoing investigation, asked public to avoid the area

Armed officers, some wearing camouflage, were on scene at a home in Winnipeg's Burrows neighbourhood on Saturday.
Police officers and members of the tactical support team went to the area just before noon.
A police spokesperson said it was part of an ongoing investigation and did not believe there is a risk to public safety.

However, police asked the public to avoid the area.
Residential streets were blocked off, including Magnus Avenue between Leo Novak Street and Railway Street.
