The federal and provincial governments are funding the meeting
The P.E.I. BioAlliance is coordinating the VetHealth Global International Animal Health and Nutrition Business Conference to be hosted in Charlottetown next week.
The federal government is supporting the meeting with $67,000 through the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, while the province, through Innovation PEI, is contributing $47,000.
The conference brings stakeholders in the industry together to learn about the latest trends in animal health and nutrition and provides a networking opportunity to businesses in the field.
"It's an excellent opportunity for local companies to connect and potentially partner with companies from out of province," said Minister for Economic Development and Tourism Heath MacDonald in a news release.
"And a great opportunity for off-Island companies to gain a better understanding of our province and the many reasons to invest here."
The conference will run from June 12-14 at the Delta Prince Edward.
