P.E.I. gas price plummets

Furnace oil and diesel also down
The price of gas, furnace oil and diesel fell significantly on P.E.I. overnight in the regular mid-month price review by the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission.
- Gas prices are down 6.1 cents per litre to a minimum of $0.999 for regular self serve.
- Furnace oil prices are down 4.4 cents per litre to $0.789.
- Diesel prices are down 4.4 cents per litre to a minimum of $1.104.
There is no change in propane prices.
In a news release, IRAC said wholesale prices have dropped significantly. It credited repairs to distribution services following a pipeline accident, and the end of seasonal maintenance at refineries that had interrupted supplies.
