Sailors will take part in two-day course
A flare exercise will be held Nov. 11 at the P.E.I. Ground Search and Rescue Base and around the Charlottetown Airport.
WaveSkills Sailing School is holding the exercise in the early afternoon with an alternate date of Nov. 12.
The course will involve two types of flares and fire extinguishing exercises, as well as water exercises offsite.
The two-day course prepares sailors for potential scenarios that may occur while offshore.
Sailors from across the Maritimes and Ontario will be taking part.
