P.E.I. man arrested for copper theft

Man scheduled to appear in court at a later sdae

Charlottetown police say they arrested a man from Dingwell Mills, P.E.I. on Nov. 9 for stealing copper after receiving a complaint from a local bottle and metal exchange business.
Police were told a man was there to sell copper wire.
Police determined the copper wire was stolen from a Maritime Electric Substation in a rural area of the Island.
The 34-year-old was arrested for being in possession of stolen property. He is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
