Man darted out into traffic and driver was not able to stop in time, police say
A pedestrian who was seriously hurt in a collision early Thursday morning has been upgraded to stable condition and is expected to recover, police say.
Emergency crews were called at about 6:15 a.m. to Tuscany Way and Tuscany Ridge Heights N.W.
The man, believed to be in his early 30s, was thrown during the collision, an EMS spokesman said.
Police say it appears the pedestrian darted out into the street, leaving the motorist no time to stop. No charges are being considered against the driver.
Tuscany Way was closed down in both directions as police investigated.
The vehicle involved remained at the scene.
