Students will also gain access to digital evidence management tool
The Atlantic Police Academy in Summerside, P.E.I. has signed a new deal that will give its students access to some of the newest technologies in policing.
The partnership will get students hands-on experience with body cameras and a cloud-based digital evidence management platform from Axon Public Safety Canada Inc.
"This partnership will provide our students with cutting edge technology and tools to greatly enhance their learning experience at the Atlantic Police Academy," said Edgar MacLeod, the school's executive director, in a news release.
"Students will enter the policing world with an enhanced understanding of the future of law enforcement technology," added Vishal Dhir, Axon's Canadian country manager.
Axon signed the deal with the Canadian Centre of Public Safety Excellence, a joint initiative between the Atlantic Police Academy and Slemon Park Corporation.
