RCMP will not lay charges against a 55-year old school bus driver who was involved in collisions May 17 and 18 in eastern P.E.I.
A spokeswoman for the RCMP says its investigation is complete and no further action will be taken by police.
On May 17, the driver's bus collided with a pick-up truck in the the community of Newtown Cross. Students on the bus were not injured. The next day, the driver's bus left the road in Eldon, with one student in the vehicle. The student was not injured.
RCMP suspended the driver's license for seven days following the second crash. RCMP say alcohol was not involved. The driver also passed a drug sobriety test.
John Cummings, director of corporate services for the English Language School Board says its investigation is on-going.
