Holland College's president Brian McMillan will be taking a two-month leave of absence, according to a news release from the school.
The announcement comes a month after McMillan was charged with drinking and driving. A Holland College spokesperson confirmed the leave is related to that charge.

Holland College board chair Kent Scales said the decision was McMillan's.
"Dr. McMillan made an official request to the Holland College Board of Governors for a leave of absence and the Board approved his request. He has initiated counselling which he will continue during his leave. We look forward to his return," said Scales in a release.
The leave is effective starting Monday.
Grant Canvin, the school's vice-president of corporate services and administration, has been appointed acting president.
