Work at six major construction sites is now suspended due to a strike by municipal workers.
About 440 engineers, chemists and veterinarians have walked off the job following a breakdown in negotiations with the city.
They haven't had a collective agreement since 2010. The city says it was ready and willing to negotiate, but that the union broke off talks last week.
Here's a map of the affected work sites:
- Work on sewers, water mains and roads on Atwater Avenue from Docteur Penfield Avenue to Sherbrooke Street West.
- Work on a drinking-water main on the Métropolitain Service Road from Champ d'Eau Street to Haut Anjou Boulevard.
- Work on sewage and drinking water pipes and street lights on Côte-des-Neiges Road between Cedar Avenue and Hill Park Circle.
- Road work and reconfiguration work on Sherbrooke Street East between between Charlemagne Avenue and Pie-IX Boulevard, Pie-IX between Pierre-de-Coubertin Avenue and Mont-Royal Avenue East and Rachel Street between Jeanne d'Arc Avenue and Pie-IX.
- Aqueduct construction on Pierre-de-Coubertin between Bourbonnière Avenue and Viau Street.
- Work on pipes, roads and lighting on Marcel-Laurin Boulevard between the Décarie Expressway and Saint-Louis Street and on Saint-Louis between Tait Street and Marcel-Laurin.
