Rinato Toy, the man accused in a stabbing death during last year's Calgary Stampede, has been ordered to stand trial.
The 21-year-old faces a charge of manslaughter.
It comes after Zakariah Abdow, who was 25, was knifed during a confrontation between two groups on the Stampede grounds on July 9.
He was taken to hospital in critical condition and died more than two months later.
Alberta Justice confirms Toy was ordered last week to stand trial on the charge. A date has not been set.
