Without firearm, ammo and magazine posed 'minimal risk,' police said
A Calgary police officer might be feeling a bit sheepish but relieved that the magazine and 15 rounds of ammunition lost on duty last week has been found in a safe place — right inside the District 8 office.
Police said last Friday the magazine was believed to have fallen from the officer's duty belt on April 28, sometime between 3:30 and 5 p.m., somewhere in the south of the city.

On Monday, police said the magazine and all the ammunition were located in the District 8 office.
Calgary police had said the magazine "poses minimal risk to the public" on its own, without a firearm.
