The Lethbridge woman who died in her apartment after being severely injured last weekend was the victim of a homicide, police say.
Emergency crews responded to an apartment complex in the 100 block of Columbia Boulevard in Lethbridge around 5:15 p.m. on Sunday for reports of an injured woman. Frances Candice Little Light, 56, was found by paramedics and died a short time later.
Police detained a number of people for questioning and searched the area with the K-9 unit. They have no suspects in custody.
Police also have no evidence to support community speculation that this incident is related to the homicide of 78-year-old Irene Carter in January.
