It started around 9:45 p.m. MT on Wednesday in the south end of the city when police saw the suspect in a stolen Escalade.
The driver took off, hitting speeds of 160 km/h, and going the wrong way on Stoney Trail at one point.
He managed to steal another truck and headed north out of the city.
RCMP used a spike belt near Airdrie which blew out the front tires, but the suspect kept going to Didsbury, where he was arrested.
Calgary police have not yet released the name of the suspect, but say he was wanted on a Canada wide warrant and is facing a long list of charges.
