Police are investigating a shooting in Huntington Hills in northwest Calgary that left a man in his teens with a gunshot wound to his chest, officials say.
EMS and police were called to a home in the community just before 3:30 a.m. MT on Wednesday.
First responders waited for police to secure the scene before entering the home in the 7100 block of Hunterville Road N.W., said EMS spokesman Stuart Brideaux.
They found one man in his late teens with a gunshot wound to his upper torso area.
He was taken to hospital in serious but non-life-threatening condition.

  • An earlier version of this story showed a photo of a house with Halloween decorations on the front lawn. However, although the house had been taped off by police, the shooting actually happened next door. October 28, 2015 1:55 PM
