Halifax police investigate possible chocolate bar tampering

Police say a man found a pin in a chocolate bar he bought at The Bay

Halifax police are investigating after a man reported finding a pin inside a chocolate bar on Oct. 3.
Police say the man bought the Godiva bar the day before at The Bay in Mic Mac Mall. He wasn't injured.
The store has since removed the remaining chocolate bars from shelves.
There have been a number of foreign metal objects, mainly nails, found in potatoes bought in Nova Scotia over the last year.
Last year, a pin was found inside a Halloween chocolate in Cole Harbour.
Police ask anyone who finds foreign objects in their food to not throw them out. They should contact police.
