As crews continue to try to recover the body of a Calgary man who fell over a waterfall in Yoho National Park last weekend, his mother is thanking rescue officials and her son's friends, including those who set up a GoFundMe page in her son's name.
Jeremy Prendergast, 19, was hiking with friends at Twin Falls when he fell into the water last Sunday afternoon.

"The money will be going to a donations memorial in his name, to search and rescue and just things like that in general," she said.
"You know it was something that he loved and I think he would want us to do that for him."
Prendergast says recovery efforts have been hampered by rough terrain and high water levels in the area.
The 100-metre high Twin Falls is about eight-kilometres from the Takakkaw Falls parking lot, which is located next to the Trans-Canada Highway, just east of Field, B.C.
"We would like to talk to Parks Canada about safety issues and possibly placing some kind of notice in the area or a fence at the particular spot because it is well used," Prendergast said.
