A fire at the Clermont Motel in New Annan, P.E.I. has displaced about 20 people Monday evening.
The deputy chief of the Kensington Fire Department, Rodney Hickey, says fire crews were called at about 5 p.m. to fight the blaze.
The Summerside fire department was also called in, as were crews from New London and New Glasgow, but the latter two got caught in snow.
Six of the 25 units are damaged, while one is completely destroyed, said Hickey.
The Murray Centre at the Kensington United Church has been opened up as an emergency shelter.
Tonight's fire at the motel is the second one in a week. On Wednesday morning, crews were called to a small fire that started in the ceiling of the bathroom of one of the apartments. Fire officials say they believe that fire started in an electrical junction box.
