Man originally charged with manslaughter will not go to trial
A charge of manslaughter has been stayed against a man accused of killing another in an altercation in 2012.
Scott Hooser, 27, was originally charged in the death of Brian Ludwig.
Ludwig died following a fight outside a pub in the city's southwest in August, 2012. The 41-year-old man was the father of two children.
Witnesses said Ludwig did not start the fight and fell after being punched once.
The manslaughter charge against Hooser has now been stayed. His lawyer said there was insufficient evidence to proceed to trial.
