Disney premiered a teaser trailer for its highly anticipated adaptation of Madeleine L'Engle's children's classic, A Wrinkle in Time at a D23 Expo event on July 15, 2017.

Helmed by director Ava DuVernay with a star-studded cast of Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling, Chris Pine and Zach Galifianakis, the film's trailer has amassed over two million views on YouTube in its first couple of days.

Published in 1962, the book tells the story of a young girl's journey through time and space in search of her father, a scientist who went missing while working on covert research for the government. Storm Reid portrays young heroine Meg Murry.

The book won the Newbery Medal in 1963 and is the first of five in a series, which includes A Wind in the Door, A Swiftly Tilting Planet, Many Waters and An Acceptable Time.

The film, written by Frozen writer Jennifer Lee, will be in theatres on March 9, 2018.
