How to watch Plan B Season 2 on CBC Gem
The next chapter of CBC's anthology series stars Vinessa Antoine
They say we can't control life events, just how we respond to them. But what if we could go back and change that response? That's the question posed by CBC series Plan B; in each season, a new character gets the opportunity to go back in time and redo the moments before everything unravelled.
What is Plan B Season 2 about?
On the eve of her 40th birthday, police officer Mia Coleman is grieving both the end of her long-term relationship with a single dad and the separation from his son Jared, whom she embraced as her own.
Meanwhile at work in the police force, Mia witnesses injustices that gnaw at her faith in work and sense of purpose. When she is called to a seemingly routine intervention in a family's crisis, she makes a judgment call that ends in unbelievable tragedy.
If she could only go back in time and make a different decision.
Enter Plan B, the mysterious service that allows Mia to travel back in time to make different choices, ones that could prevent this tragedy from unfolding. During each journey to the past, Mia delves deep into her own psyche, confronting buried emotions and an unresolved past.
Who stars in Plan B Season 2?
Plan B Season 2 stars Vinessa Antoine (Diggstown, Ginny & Georgia) as Montreal police officer Mia Coleman, who uses the mysterious agency to alter the outcome of crimes, with unexpected consequences. Antoine is joined by a veteran cast including Vincent Leclerc (True North, Bellevue), Sarah Booth (Murdoch Mysteries, Three Pines), Rossif Sutherland (The Handmaids Tale, Paris Paris) and Patrick Emmanuel Abelard (IXE-13 et la course à l'uranium, Sweetheart). Leclerc and Abelard also appeared in the French Plan B series, from which the English version was adapted.
Vinessa Antoine as Mia Coleman
An accomplished police officer, Mia is about to hit 40 with little to show in terms of personal fulfilment. Her determination to protect the innocent is deeply influenced by her own childhood traumas.
Vincent LeClerc as Paul Whitman
Paul Whitman is a family man who loves his wife and two little girls and would do anything to keep his family safe. At least, that's what he tells himself.
Sarah Booth as Keri Whitman
Keri Whitman loves life. She loves her yoga classes and she loves singing along to Drake in the car. She loves good food and telling funny stories at dinner parties. Problem is, she has to keep her love of life on dimmer, to keep from provoking her husband with too much of a display of good spirits in case he suspects he's not the reason for them.
Rossif Sutherland as Bryson Miller
A single dad, Mia Coleman's ex-boyfriend Bryson has mostly moved on from their unhealthy relationship. The break would be clean were it not for his 10-year-old son, Jared, who shares a deep affection and connection with Mia.
Patrick Emmanuel Abelard as Tyler Rhodes
As Mia's patrol car partner, Tyler Rhodes is a conscientious by-the-book cop. So when he sees Mia making questionable professional decisions, or straight up going off the rails, he can't help but voice his concerns. But his reactions are coloured by the fact that he has feelings toward her that go beyond those of a work colleague.
