Heartland Season 17 set to premiere October 1 plus an advance screening

Mark your calendars, Heartlanders! Heartland Season 17 will premiere exclusively in Canada on Sunday, October 1st at 7 p.m. on CBC and CBC Gem. The first episode of Season 17 is also Heartland's 250th episode. The incredible cast, writers, and crew have done an amazing job creating a fun, heartfelt, and visually stunning season to mark the 250 episode milestone.

On Thursday, September 28th, in advance of the premiere broadcast, Heartland fans in the Calgary area – or fans who are willing to travel to Calgary – will be able to watch the Heartland Season 17 world premiere at a special experience screening. CBC and Heartland will be collaborating with the Calgary International Film Festival (CIFF) to screen the first episode of Season 17, which is Heartland's 250th episode at the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium. Following the screening, there will be a live Q&A with Amber Marshall, Shaun Johnston, Michelle Morgan, and Chris Potter in-person.

Amber Marshall shared her excitement for the CIFF Heartland screening, "There is always such an incredible energy when Heartlanders get together. Being able to share this experience with the cast, crew and fans from around the world makes what we do extra special."

CIFF's Artistic Director Brian Owens also shared, "At CIFF, we're excited to continually expand our programming to include incredible episodic content. It's exciting to bring the highly established and adored Heartland to our festival. This programming comes with strong local ties and is sure to bring in massive and excited crowds!"
