Milos Raonic's path at French Open runs through Rafael Nadal
Nadal sports 7-2 record against Raonic, but Canadian has won 2 of last 4
Barring any upsets, Milos Raonic will have to go through Rafael Nadal in the quarter-finals at the French Open, and then Kei Nishikori in the semifinals.
Against Nadal, Raonic is 2-7 in his career, but has won two of his last four matches against the Spaniard.
Raonic will begin the tournament by facing unseeded Belgian Steve Darcis in the first round. The two have never faced each other before.
Through the first three rounds, the only other ranked player Raonic could face is Gilles Muller (26th). The players have split the four meeting against one another.
Nadal and Djokovic could meet again
Rafael Nadal could face Novak Djokovic in the semifinals of the French Open in his quest for a 10th title at Roland Garros.
The fourth-seeded Nadal, the only player with nine trophies from one Grand Slam tournament, will open against Benoit Paire.
Nadal has been the dominant player of the clay-court season and has won 17 straight matches on his favourite surface, while Djokovic has been struggling with form and confidence recently.
Djokovic completed a career Grand Slam at the French Open last year by beating Andy Murray in the final.
The top-ranked Murray will open against Andrey Kuznetsov.
In the women's draw, defending champion Garbine Muguruza was handed a tough first round match against 2010 champion Francesca Schiavone. Top-ranked Angelique Kerber will be up against 40th-ranked Ekaterina Makarova.
