Milos Raonic trims coaching staff, parts ways with Carlos Moya

The boss has made more changes at Milos Raonic Tennis, as the world No. 3-ranked player has parted ways with coach Carlos Moya.

Moya, a former French Open champion from Spain, began working with the 25-year-old Richmond Hill, Ont., native in January, joining Italian Riccardo Piatti, who has coached Raonic since 2014. 

Raonic also hired former world No. 1 John McEnroe for his Wimbledon run this year, where he reached the final before losing to Andy Murray.​

"I'm the CEO of the Milos Raonic Tennis," Raonic told tennis.com earlier this year when asked about his many coaches. "That's it ... It is my job personally, [for] everything I hear, to weigh what it's worth and weigh what is best for me ... I take everybody's consultations very personally. I know everybody I have around me wants to help me to the fullest ... I'm going to try to do everything I can to sort of maximize giving myself the opportunity to achieve my goals."

Raonic has been hampered with injury since the summer, most recently a torn quadricep in his right leg.
