NYC FC fans are taking their ball and going home
Crowd throws beer on Toronto's Jozy Altidore and heads home early
The Toronto FC took on New York City FC at Yankee Stadium Sunday night and to say the visiting team came out with a bang would be an understatement. Not only did they put three on the board before halftime but Sebastian Giovinco finished the night with a good old Canadian hat trick.
Toronto fans were flying high...

So NYC FC only needs a touchdown to beat <a href="https://twitter.com/torontofc">@torontofc</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/TFCLive?src=hash">#TFCLive</a> ⚽️🇨🇦

...while the home crowd was feeling quite deflated.

After witnessing such a poor performance, some fans decided to call it quits and head home early — some even before halftime.
And... people are leaving in the Bronx. I repeat: People are leaving Yankee Stadium. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/TFCLive?src=hash">#TFCLive</a>

Are the NYCFC fans leaving to beat the halftime bathroom and beer rush or just go home? The sensible ones will opt for the latter <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/TFCLive?src=hash">#TFCLive</a>

Spectators reported that a NYC fan threw several beer at Jozy Altidore which Torontonians are now infamously familiar with. To top it off, it was the Toronto FC forward's birthday and, while he did manage to score on his club's big night, it wasn't a welcome gift.
Could of swore I saw beer tossed at Altidore. Quick. Arrest him and make him the subject of a national witch hunt.

So Blue Jays fans get blasted worldwide for fan throwing 1 beer at a player. NYCFC fans throw several at Altidore no one says a word…

It seemed the only spectators enjoying themselves in the 5-0 Toronto victory were the travelling Reds fans, who could be heard miles away as they jumped, screamed and sang from the stands.
NYCFC fans start pouring out of Yankee Stadium and Toronto FC fans start chanting "Is there a Fire Drill?" The Canadians are eating this up.
