TFC, Chicago Fire play to draw; CF Montreal's 2 late goals earn draw with D.C. United
Record-setting goals from Pedro Vite and Brian White led the Vancouver Whitecaps to a comfortable 6-2 win over the visiting Houston Dynamo on Wednesday night at BC Place.
White scored the winner, his sixth goal of the regular season, just 10 seconds into the second half for the fastest goal from the start of a half in Vancouver's MLS history (5-5-5).

The two clubs combined for four goals in the first 18 minutes, which was just the fifth time that's ever happened in the league.
Attacking midfielder Pedro Vite scoring 15 seconds in for Vancouver was briefly the club's fastest goal.
A mistake seven minutes later by Whitecaps defender Javain Brown allowed Houston to pull even. He misjudged the ball on a diving headed clearance, which allowed Houston's Corey Baird to slot a shot beyond a helpless Yohei Takaoka.
The equalizer fell to midfielder Julian Gressel as he leathered his shot in to the net's roof. He scored a second after Dynamo goalkeeper Steve Clark tipped a deflected shot into his path in the 59th minute.
Down two goals, the night turned into a nightmare for Houston. Substitute Nelson Quinones was sent off after he was on the field for just six minutes.
Whitecaps substitute Sebastian Berhalter scored his first MLS career goal in the 88th minute with a half-volleyed shot from 18 yards out past a stranded Clark.
He assisted for captain Ryan Gauld, who scored the hosts' sixth goal with a tap-in deep in to stoppage time.
Toronto FC, Chicago Fire play to scoreless draw
With Italian star Federico Bernardeschi back in the starting lineup, Toronto FC played the Chicago Fire to a scoreless draw Wednesday in MLS play.
Toronto (3-5-8) had its chances in an entertaining but scoreless first half in which it had a 10-2 edge in shots (5-0 in shots on target) on Chicago (3-4-8).
The second half was somewhat sloppier from both sides.
Chicago produced few chances and was credited with just one shot on target.
He'd criticized the team's tactics following a 1-0 loss in Austin the previous week.
But the 29-year-old returned to training this week and was back on the wing Wednesday.
Bernardeschi was greeted by cheers and a smattering of boos during the pre-game introductions at BMO Field, while Toronto coach Bob Bradley was booed in a second straight home game.
The Italian drew more cheers in the 23rd minute when, after taking a long ball from Kosi Thompson, he beat two defenders to force an acrobatic save from Chris Brady.
Minutes later, the 19-year-old Chicago 'keeper made another fine stop to deny Thompson only to be injured trying to corral the rebound when his head connected with Deandre Kerr's knee.
Brady was cut and replaced by backup Spencer Richey, a former Vancouver Whitecap, in the 30th minute.
Bernardeschi beat plenty of Fire defenders on the evening and also showed some effort in the defensive end, which is not his forte.
Toronto has won just two of its last 13 games (2-5-6) in all competitions.
But despite its 14th-place position in the Eastern Conference, it came into midweek play just two points out of a playoff position.
TFC has lost just one of nine home games (3-1-5) this season, but is winless on the road (0-4-3).
Thompson, who scored against D.C, and Bernardeschi came into the TFC starting lineup for Brandon Servania and CJ Sapong.
There were six Canadians in TFC's starting 11.
Toronto was without injured defender Shane O'Neill, midfielders Michael Bradley, Jonathan Osorio, Alonso Coello and Victor Vazquez and forward Adama Diomande.
Toronto has not lost to Chicago at BMO Field in 12 straight games (7-0-5) dating back to 2013.
That's TFC's longest home unbeaten run against a single opponent in club history.
CF Montreal earns draw with 2 late goals
Sunusi Ibrahim and Ariel Lassiter scored two minutes apart late in the second half to help CF Montreal tie D.C. United 2-2 on Wednesday night.
Ibrahim, who entered in the 61st minute, became just the second player in club history to record a goal and an assist off the bench in the same game.
D.C. United opened the scoring just before halftime when Donovan Pines headed in a cross from Mateusz Klich for his second goal of the season.
Theodore Ku-Dipietro sent home a deflected ball in front of the net to make it 2-0 in the 59th.
Montreal (6-8-1), which is 1-7-1 on the road this season after getting outscored 21-5, travels to play the Philadelphia Union on Saturday.
D.C. United (5-6-5) hits the road to play Inter Miami on Saturday.
