Harry Kane scored his first goal of the season for Tottenham as the Spurs roared back from a goal down to hammer early title favourite Manchester City 4-1 in Premier League action on Saturday.

City dominated the first half and took a deserved lead at White Hart Lane through Kevin De Bruyne in the 25th minute.

But Eric Dier rifled in a long-distance equalizer on the stroke of halftime and Erik Lamela curled over a free kick for Toby Alderweireld to head home five minutes after the re-start.

Kane, who had yet to find the net for Tottenham after scoring 31 times last season, finally ended his drought in the 61st and Lamela was rewarded for a fine performance with a goal on the break in the 79th.

As morale-boosting as the victory will be for Kane and his teammates, the early kickoff provided yet another reality check for big-spending City.

After a perfect start to the season with five consecutive league victories, City has now lost three of its last four games in all competitions, with injuries and a loss of form clearly playing their part.

Sanchez leads Arsenal to victory

Alexis Sanchez netted a hat trick to end his scoring drought as Arsenal came from behind to beat Leicester 5-2.

Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud also netted for the Gunners, who rediscovered their scoring touch in a free-flowing game that easily could have seen even more goals at both ends.

Arsenal had managed just five goals in its first six league games but matched that total during an entertaining afternoon that saw Sanchez find his best form again. The Chile forward was Arsenal's leading scorer last season but had been without a goal in a frustrating start to this campaign.

Stoke picks up 1st win

Mame Biram Diouf scored late to give Stoke a 2-1 home victory over Bournemouth for its first Premier League win of the season.

Diouf came off the bench to head in a cross in the 84th minute for his third goal of the season, lifting Stoke out of the relegation zone following a disappointing start to the campaign for Mark Hughes' team.

Jonathan Walters put Stoke ahead with a tap-in from close range in the 33rd minute but Dan Gosling leveled in the 76th with a low shot after the ball fell to him in the area.

Stoke has six points from seven games, one point behind newcomer Bournemouth.

Much-needed win for Liverpool

Liverpool eased the pressure on much-criticized manager Brendan Rodgers following a 3-2 win over Aston Villa on Saturday.

Rodgers' side was without a league victory since the second game of the season.

Stand-in captain James Milner gave the hosts the perfect start at Anfield when he struck the opener in the second minute, the fastest goal in the league this season.

Daniel Sturridge doubled the lead just before the hour mark, before three goals in five minutes set up a tense finish for Liverpool.

Unmarked Villa striker Rudy Gestede reduced the deficit from close range in the 66th, seconds before Sturridge restored Liverpool's two-goal advantage after a neat exchange with Philippe Coutinho.

Gestede headed in with aplomb to make it 3-2 but Liverpool held on for the points.

Man United blanks Sunderland

Memphis Depay scored his first ever Premier League goal and Wayne Rooney added his first of the season as Manchester United beat Sunderland 3-0 to go top of the standings.

Louis van Gaal's side never looked under threat and completed a comfortable victory at Old Trafford when Juan Mata, who had set up Depay for United's opener, rounded off the scoring in the 90th minute.

The result left United top and Sunderland still bottom of the table.

Struggles continue for Chelsea

Chelsea needed two late goals to salvage a 2-2 draw at Newcastle on Saturday as the Premier League champions continued to struggle in their title defence.

Spanish striker Ayoze Perez put Newcastle ahead in the 42nd minute and Georginio Wijnaldum headed a second goal in the 60th as a Newcastle side tipped for relegation defied all the odds at St. James' Park.

But just as Steve McClaren's men sensed a first league win of the season, Ramires came off the bench to unleash a shot that rocketed into the Newcastle net in the 78th minute.

Chelsea piled on the pressure and equalized when Willian's free kick in the 86th eluded everyone waiting in the box.

Ramires nearly headed a winner three minutes later, but was denied by goalkeeper Tim Krul.
