Impact open home MLS schedule at Big O

The Montreal Impact will make their home MLS debut at Olympic Stadium on March 17, the second week of the 2012 season, before shifting games to the newly renovated Saputo Stadium in June.

The Montreal Impact will make their home Major League Soccer debut at Olympic Stadium on March 17, the second week of the 2012 season.

The Impact will shift their home games to the newly renovated Saputo Stadium, which is scheduled to open in June.

The league only announced the dates of its home openers, with the opponents and more schedule information to come in December.

The 2012 campaign kicks off March 10 with home games for the Vancouver Whitecaps, defending champion Los Angeles Galaxy, Colorado Rapids, D.C. United, San Jose Earthquakes, and Seattle Sounders.

Chivas USA and FC Dallas hold their home openers on March 11, followed one day later by the Portland Timbers.

Week 2 opens March 17 with home games for the Impact, Sporting Kansas City and Real Salt Lake. The Philadelphia Union open at home the next day.

Toronto FC welcomes its fans to BMO Field on March 24. The Chicago Fire, Columbus Crew and New England Revolution also open at home that day.

The New York Red Bulls' home opener is March 25.

The Houston Dynamo will crack open their new stadium on May 12.

Each club will play 34 matches in the 2012 MLS regular season.
