Happy Father's Day to Euro 2016 soccer dads

This year's edition of Father's Day falls right in the middle of the 2016 Euro . Take a look at ten soccer dads celebrating Father's Day while representing their country in the Euro Cup.

In lieu of ugly ties, we celebrate the day for dads with a little footy

Father's Day, the third Sunday in June, is a day for children to express their love and appreciation for their dad.

While most will celebrate with cards, cheesy gifts and, hopefully, watching sports, others are hard at work trying to bring home a championship.

Let's give a shout out to 10 soccer dads who will be celebrating Father's Day from the Euro Cup in France.

1. Gerard Pique

Spanish defender Gerard Pique is dad to three-year-old Milan Piqué Mebarak and one-year-old Sasha Piqué Mebarak. He is raising his boys alongside Colombian singer-songwriter Shakira. The couple has been together since 2010, constantly posting heart warming family photos.

2. Cristiano Ronaldo

The Portuguese captain and Real Madrid phenom looks to have passed some skills to son, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. Based on the resemblance, name and talent, we may have another legend in the making.

3. Lukas Podolski

Though his roots are Polish, this left-footed striker plays for Germany. He is father to Louis Gabriel Podolski. From the looks of this tweet, posted on June 9, Louis became a big brother a day before Euro 2016 kicked off.

4. Iker Casillas

Spanish legendary goalkeeper is a father to two sons, Martin and Lucas Casillas Carbonero.

5. Wayne Rooney

The English footballer may have the next Man U back line on his hands. Klay Anthony, Kai Wayne and Kit Joseph are the Rooney boys and if they can play like their dad the world should watch out.

6. Luka Modric

Croatian midfield mastermind Luka Modric will share Father's Day with his daughter Emma and son Ivano Modric.

7. Gianluigi Buffon

"Gigi" Buffon captains both the Italian national team and Serie A club team Juventus. He has the most game appearances for Italy with 159 caps. The keeper is dad to Leopoldo Mattia, David Lee and Louis Thomas Buffon.

8. Olivier Giroud

French footballer Giroud is home for Father's Day, the tournament being hosted in France. Better still, Father's Day falls on Game Day versus Switzerland. Will daughter Jade Giroud make it to the game?

9. Gareth Bale

Welsh footballer and Real Madrid powerhouse Gareth Bale joins his country for the country's first major tournament in over a half-century. Not only is he Wales' second all-time scoring leader, he's also dad to Alba Violet Bale who will likely be watching proudly from the stands.

10. Eidur Gudjohnsen

Icelandic attacking midfielder Eidur Gudjohnsen is the brains behind the operation of his international and club team. Iceland's current leading goal scorer will have sons Sveinn Aron, Andri Lucas and Daníel Tristan Gudjohnsen cheering him on as his team looks to advance to the Round of 16.
