Team Canada has a final chance for victory at the Rugby World Cup today when it plays Romania in Leicester, England. If fan power is anything to go by then they've already won.

Canada has struggled so far in the tournament, losing their fourth match of the tournament today versus Romania.

Despite the losses, one group has not lost hope: Team Canada fans. They are having the time of their lives — or so they hint.

"What happens on the rugby tour stays on the rugby tour," said Ian Middleton, who travelled from Calgary to England to support his team.

Fans in Leicester gathered to celebrate Canada's last game in the tournament. Team Canada would go on to fall to Romania in the final minutes of the match with a final score of 17-15.

For Middelton, the Rugby World Cup was more so about Canada being competitive than winning.

"It was great to see them play at that level," he said. "While I obviously would have preferred to see a win I think they proved they can play high level rugby."

And Canada's record did not effect their fans' experience off the field. When it comes to sportsmanship, Middleton has learnt there's nobody like a rugby supporter.

"Rugby fans are the best fans there are," he said, after attending six games in three different venues.

"It didn't matter which country they were from, everyone was there to celebrate the sport, to watch some great rugby and raise a pint together."

And that they did. Canadian fans definitely had presence, between the sea of red and white to some very original costumes, Canada was well represented amongst the 20 participating countries.
