As the Paralympic Games take centre stage, Olympic athletes are showing their support online for their fellow athletes.

Now that the dust has settled on the Olympic Games and the athletes have passed the torch to the Paralympians just beginning their journey, they're not being shy about their support on social media.

Olympians from Penny Oleksiak and Jen Kish to Evan Dunfee and Iñaki Gomez are saluting their Paralympic counterparts that are taking centre stage in Rio.

Even though swimming star Penny Oleksiak is busy starting a new year of high school, she still has time to cheer on her fellow athletes.

Rugby sevens bronze-medallist Jen Kish got into the spirit by supporting wheelchair rugby Paralympian Zak Madell.

Sometimes support is all you need to succeed and if that's the case then Canada's Paralympians have it in spades. Every athlete, regardless of ability, goes down the same path of dedication, courage and tenacity to be the best in the country and maybe even the world.
