Montreal's Meaghan Benfeito and Vincent Riendeau of Pointe-Claire, Que., finished second in the 10-metre mixed synchro event on the second stop on the FINA World Series diving circuit.

China's Xiachu Tai and Jie Lian won the gold medal with 363.12 points. The Canadians were second with 335.58 with Mesicans Jahir Ocampo and Alejandra Orozco taking third.

"We scored five points higher than last week," said Benfeito. "We really improved our individual dives.

"There's a one foot height difference between us so I have to push harder and jump higher. It's really beneficial for me."

On the women's 10-m tower Roseline Filion of Laval, Que., was fifth in the women's 10-metre tower with Benfeito finishing ninth.

On men's tower, Montreal's Philippe Gagne was seventh and Riendeau took ninth.
