Pan Am Games: What you need to know for Wednesday
Canada has medal chances in swimming, rowing, gymnastics
Day 5 of the Toronto 2015 Pan Am Games should be another great one for the host nation, as Canada has a good chance at adding to its 64 medals with hopefuls in swimming, rowing and artistic gymnastics.
Here are some things to keep an eye on:
1. McCabe a swimming favourite
Canada couldn't have had a much better start to the swimming competition on Tuesday as it took home six medals, including three gold. Toronto's Martha McCabe will look to follow in double gold medallist Chantal Van Landeghem's footsteps and find the podium in the women's 200-metre breaststroke. McCabe, who finished fifth in this event at the 2012 London Olympics, will compete in the heats at 10:33 a.m. ET and, if she qualifies, the final at 7:50 p.m. ET.
Canada will also have solid representation in the women's and men's 200-metre freestyle and 200 backstroke, and the men's 4x200 relay. If Wednesday is anything like Tuesday for Canadian swimmers, O Canada will be played all evening.

The host nation has cleaned up in rowing competition with five gold medals and two bronze. Wednesday, the final day of rowing, shouldn't be any different, with Canada having contenders in all five medal events. The finals begin at 9:25 a.m. with the men's singles sculls, followed by the men' s lightweight coxless four, the women's singles sculls light, women's quaduple sculls and the men's eight.
Canadians Rob Gibson and Liz Fenje will be going for their second gold medals of the Games when they compete in the men's and single's sculls events, respectively.

Halifax's Ellie Black, who won the gold in the women's artistic all-around gymnastics competition on Monday, a silver as part of the team event on Sunday, and a bronze in the vault competition Tuesday, will have a chance to add two more medals Wednesday. The 19-year-old will go for the gold in the women's beam and floor events at the Toronto Coliseum on the final day of artistic gymnastics. Black, who represented Canada at the 2012 London Olympics, won the gold medal in the women's beam competition at the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Fellow Canadians Victoria Woo, Scott Morgan and Kevin Lytwyn will also compete Wednesday. Woo will be in the women's beam final, Morgan will be in the men's vault final, and Lytwyn will compete in the men's horizontal bar final.
