Saturday's Pan Am Day kicked off the final countdown to Toronto 2015, which starts in less than a month.

The CBC Sports team helped usher in the games with coast-to-coast coverage of event previews and features on some of Canada's most promising Pan Am and Para Pan Am athletes.

With Canada expected to field a record number of competitors, we made sure to get you set with some must-watch athletes ahead of the July 10 start.

Host Scott Russell visited one of the many venues located in the Toronto area to check out a test event at the Centennial Park Pan Am BMX Centre.

While in Etobicoke, he naturally greeted some exciting athletes to watch.

Our team didn't stop there, with public activities and #OurAthletes special guests taking part across the country.

And we weren't the only ones showing our Pan Am spirit.
