Canada’s flag-bearer for the 2015 Pan Am Games will be announced on Canada Day, the Canadian Olympic Committee confirmed on Monday.

Canada's flag-bearer for the 2015 Pan Am Games will be announced on Canada Day, the Canadian Olympic Committee confirmed on Monday.

The announcement will be part of a noon-hour celebration Wednesday on Parliament Hill.

Team Canada's Chef and Assistant Chef de mission Curt Harnett and Élise Marcotte will be onsite.

Canadian soccer great Christine Sinclair was the flag-bearer at the 2011 Pan Am Games in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Trap shooter Susan Nattrass was Canada's choice at the Rio de Janeiro Games in 2007.

Cyclist Tanya Dubnicoff was the Canadian flag-bearer at the 1999 Winnipeg Games — the last time the Pan Ams were held in Canada.
