In the semifinal match against Switzerland, Canada's steal of three in the fourth end helped them a comfortable 5-1 lead.
However, the Swiss, led by skip Selina Witschonke, rallied to cut the deficit to 6-5 in the seventh.
Canada preserved the victory in the eighth and final end, using the hammer to secure a point.
The Canadians cruised through the preliminary round, sporting a perfect 7-0 record.
