Canadians were also successful in ski halfpipe.
Karker, of Erin, Ont., recovered from the worst score of the day in her first run — an 8.5 — to score over 87 in her final two, including a 91.75 to secure silver.
"It's definitely a relief landing a solid run. I am really happy to come back after falling in my first run and getting onto the podium," said Karker.
"It was really soft today, it makes it easy to hook an edge and not be able to get out, it was a little tricky but I was able to handle it in my second and third runs."
It was the 23-year-old's first career world championship podium in her first attempt.
China's Gu Eileen Ailing captured gold with a winning score of 93 while Great Britain's Zoe Atkin rounded out the podium with a bronze-medal score of 90.5.
Calgary's Amy Fraser did not qualify for the final and finished ninth overall.

Also like Karker, d'Artois, 29, landed a medal in his first world championships. He also owns five podium finishes at World Cups, the last coming in 2019.
"I'm happy to be back and to see the work and time that I put into coming back stronger from my injury pay off," said d'Artois. "It definitely gives me confidence for the year to come and lots of relief."
New Zealand's Nico Porteous earned the country's first-ever freestyle ski world title at 94.5, while American Birk Irving brought home bronze at 89.75.
Canadians Brendan MacKay and Noah Bowman finished seventh and ninth, respectively.
