The men's race concludes with the second heats, which are live now.

The top Canadian is Dave Greszczyszyn, who sits eighth in the World Cup chase.

The action on the Vancouver Olympics track began Friday with the women's competition, where rising Canadian Jane Channell was coming off her second podium finish of the season — and her career — last week in Park City, Utah. The North Vancouver native was looking to move up from third place in the World Cup season standings.

Channell just missed the podium, finishing in fourth place. Germany's Tina Herman won the event, followed by American Anne O'Shea, and Jacqueline Lolling also from Germany.
