Canada's Marianne St-Gelais and Kim Boutin finished two, three on Saturday during the ladies 1500m short track final at an ISU World Cup event in Korea.

Canada's short track team seems to enjoy the venue of the 2018 Winter Olympics, scoring five medals at a World Cup test event on Saturday in Gangneung, South Korea.

Marianne St-Gelais took silver medal in the 1500-metre, while teammate Kim Boutin finished just behind for the bronze. It was Boutin's first trip to the podium since November of 2015.

"I got into it pretty quickly, in the sense that we wanted to win together, do things and succeed together. It had been a while since I had raced [in a final] with a teammate," said St-Gelais.

The result earned St-Gelais her sixth medal in seven events so far this World Cup season.

"It's a great podium result and I'm quite proud of what we've accomplished – especially considering this is the test event [for the 2018 Olympics]. We can have high hopes for the future," added St-Gelais.

On the men's side, Pascal Dion will come home with his first-career individual World Cup medal after taking silver  in the 1000m.

"Friday was really an exceptional day for me because I was at my best in all my races," said Dion. "And in today's final, I had nothing but fun racing and everything fell into place...I think that was one of my best races ever. It was also great fun to share the podium with another Canadian."

Dion's teammate Patrick Duffy won brinze in the same event.

"The best way I can describe this medal is that's it's the bee's knees," said Patrick Duffy.

Marie-Ève Drolet rounded out the medal haul with a bronze in the 1000m.

"This is the first 1000m I raced this World Cup season, so it certainly gives me confidence," said Drolet. "My goal in this distance was a top-8 result, so I can say that's been fully accomplished."
