Canadian moguls skiing star Mikaël Kingsbury capped his outstanding World Cup season with another dual moguls gold medal on Saturday in Valmalenco, Italy.

The Deux-Montagnes, Que., native extended his record for the most men's World Cup wins in any FIS Olympic discipline with his 90th.

Kingsbury beat Japan's Takuya Shimakawa in the final, while American Nick Page claimed the bronze medal.

The 31-year-old Kingsbury won six of eight dual moguls events on the World Cup circuit this season. He clinched the Crystal Globe in the discipline last Saturday along with the overall moguls title for combined points in both the dual and individual competitions.

The three-time Olympian failed to overtake Japan's Ikuma Horishima for the moguls title last week in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Kingsbury has 26 Crystal Globes to go along with eight world titles, an Olympic gold and two silvers.

Elliot Vaillancourt of Drummondville, Que., cracked the top 10 in Saturday's event with a ninth-place finish, while fellow Canadians Julien Viel and Gabriel Dufresne finished 17th and 20th, respectively.
