Shawn Barber's poor form continued in Paris as the Canadian Olympian finished fifth in the pole vault at Saturday's Diamond League meet in Paris.
Barber cleared 5.61 metres but was eliminated after three consecutive misses at 5.71. France's Renaud Lavillenie won the event with a vault of 5.93.
Earlier, the Torontonian placed fourth in Thursday's meet in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Teenager sets new steeplechase record
Olympic champion Ruth Jebet broke the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase world record by six seconds at the meet.
The 19-year-old Jebet, born in Kenya but running for Bahrain, clocked 8 minutes, 52.78 seconds at Stade de France.
The previous record was 8:58.81 by Gulnara Samitova-Galkina of Russia at the 2008 Beijing Games.
