Canadians paddled onto the podium at a Rowing World Cup event in Lucerne, Switzerland, on Sunday.

Carling Zeeman of Cambridge, Ont., scored silver in the women's single sculls, posting a time of seven minutes and 27.53 seconds.

Jeannine Gmelin of Switzerland (7:25.22) took gold while Magdalena Lobnig of Austria rounded out the podium with a time of 7:29.08.

The Canadian team of Hillary Janssens, Susanne Grainger, Christine Roper and Nicole Hare won bronze in the women's four final.
