Canadian 3x3 team advances to quarterfinals at FIBA Women's Series Final
Semifinal match vs. Netherlands awaits winner of Canada vs. China U23
Canada's 3x3 women's basketball team booked their spot in the quarterfinals at the FIBA 3x3 Women's Series Final tournament on Saturday in Hangzhou, China.
Paige Crozon, Kacie Bosch, and twin sisters Michelle and Katherine Plouffe chalked up wins over China U24 and Spain to set up a match against Italy for the No. 1 seed in Pool A.
Italy rallied from a five-point deficit to beat the Canadians 18-15, clinching a direct spot in the semifinals.

Canada must now face the China U23 team in the quarterfinals. The winner of that match (6:30 a.m. ET, CBC Gem, CBCSports.ca, CBC Sports app) moves on to face the Netherlands, the top seed from Pool B, in the semifinals.
The other quarterfinal match sees France take on the China U24 team, with the victor facing Italy in the semis.

Katherine Plouffe led all players in scoring and player value on Saturday, including a crucial performance against Spain where she scored 10 points and grabbed seven rebounds in the win.
