Canada's Kayla Sanchez won the women's 100-metre freestyle at the Swim Cup in Lausanne, Switzerland, Thursday, setting a meet record in the process.
Sanchez, 17, from Scarborough, Ont., finished in 51.68 seconds, breaking the previous mark of 52.06 held by Charlotte Bonnet of France. Bonnet was second on Thursday (52.18) while Toronto's Penny Oleksiak was third (52.60.)
Taylor Ruck, of Kelowna, B.C., was fourth in 52.88.
