Serbian men three-peat; Italy wins its first women's title

Serbia won its third consecutive men's title, and fourth in five tries, by defeating the Netherlands 16-13.
Italy defeated defending champion Russia 16-12 to win its first women's title. The Italians also knocked off top-ranked China in the semifinals en route to winning their first medal in the short history of the 3-on-3 World Cup, which began in 2012.
The Chinese lost the women's bronze-medal game to France, 21-14.
In the men's bronze-medal game, Slovenia beat Poland 21-15.
Canada's men's team was eliminated earlier Tuesday with an 18-16 loss to the Netherlands in the quarter-finals.
The Canadians, who came into the tournament ranked 14th in the world, went a perfect 4-0 in pool play, defeating Mongolia, the host Philippines, Russia and Brazil to win Pool C.
Canada does not have an entry in the women's tournament.
3-on-3 basketball will make its Olympic debut in 2020 in Tokyo.
