Chan, Duhamel-Radford will skate short program team event for Canada
Canada heads into Pyeongchang as favourite after qualifying 1st

Skate Canada announced that Patrick Chan (men's) and Meagan Duhamel and Eric Radford (pairs) will take the ice for their respective short programs when the team event kicks off Thursday at 8 p.m. ET.

Chan hasn't had a successful World Cup season, but after winning his 10th national championship last month, enters the Games believing he can land on the podium.
Duhamel and Radford were crowned Canadian champions for a record seventh time. This past season, the pair were victorious at Skate Canada and were third at the Grand Prix final.
Canada won silver in the inaugural competition in Sochi four years ago, during which Chan finished third in the short program while Duhamel and Radford were second.
Canada is a gold medal favourite after qualifying for the event in first place, but will face stiff competition from the Athletes from Russia and United States who finished first and third respectively in Sochi.
