Andre De Grasse, Usain Bolt advance to 100m final in Rio
Canadian sprinter equals personal-best time

Canadian sprinter Andre De Grasse advanced to the 100-metre final Sunday night in Rio, equalling his personal-best time of 9.92 seconds. Olympic champion Usain Bolt won the heat in 9.86.
With 20 metres to go in the second semi heat, De Grasse turned and looked three times to making sure he was clear of the rest of the field — making his fast time all the more impressive.
He'll be the first Candian to run in an Olympic men's 100 final since Donovan Bailey won gold in 1996.
Jimmy Vicaut of France won the first semi in 9.95. American Justin Gatlin, the Olympic gold medallist in 2004, won the third semi in 9.94.
Ben Youssef Meite (Ivory Coast), Akani Simbine (South Africa), Yohan Blake (Jamaica) and Trayvon Bromell (United States) round out the field for the final.
