With the opening ceremony for the Rio Olympics happening tonight (CBC's live television and digital coverage begins at 6:30 p.m. ET), athletes are buzzing with excitement and they're showing it on their social media feeds.

It has become the norm for athletes to have their phones out during their opening ceremony march, and basketball star Kia Nurse teased some of the action we'll get to see tonight.

Beyond the opening ceremony there will be plenty of social stories from the athletes to follow throughout these Olympics, and it looks like we already have one of our first dilemmas to solve — what should Team Canada name this moose?

If you have any suggestions tweet @CBCOlympics, and we hope you're getting as excited as the athletes for tonight's ceremony!
