Canadian athletes congratulate flag-bearer Rosie MacLennan
Current and former Team Canada members react to announcement

Rosie MacLennan's phone has been lighting up with congratulatory messages since she was announced as Canada's Olympic flag-bearer on Thursday. She admitted she hasn't had time to read them all, but she could feel their support from Parliament Hill.

—@JustinTrudeauMacLennan becomes the first Canadian trampolinist to be awarded the honour of waving the flag at the opening ceremony. On a conference call Thursday she said she wasn't surprised to hear from fellow trampolinists and friends Jason Burnett and Karen Cockburn before anyone else.
Burnett also took to Twitter to voice his support.
